Simon Hosford

Lead Guitar

Simon started playing classical guitar at the age of five, and at the age of 12 was offered a position at the Victorian College Of The Arts in Melbourne, which he declined because of his strong interest in pop and rock and roll. He instead studied music history and composition at Blackburn High School and broadened his skills by learning and playing Double Bass in the Blackburn High School Orchestra for four years, whilst playing jazz in the Blackburn High School Big Band Foreman Material. He began playing in his first rock band, Vision, by the time he was 13. After high school Simon attended The Victorian College of the Arts to study Jazz and began working with Rock/Fusion drummer Virgil Donati in the band On The Virg!. He also began playing guitar on regular national TV shows "Hey Hey, It's Saturday" and "In Melbourne Tonight". Soon after, Simon joined Men At Work and spent the next five years intermittently touring South America, Canada and the U.S. with them and recorded their "Live In Brasil" album. During this time he was also performing and recording with other Australian artists including world renowned guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, and in 2000 toured Europe for 3 months with Australian band Taxiride supporting  Tina Turner's 24/7 world tour. He is currently working as an international songwriter (for Warner/Chappell Music) and producer (Tension/Release Productions), and now is honoured to be working with Graeham Goble, Beeb Birtles and Glenn Shorrock.

Jason Vorherr

Bass Guitar

Jason's passion for music began at childhood once he had discovered the pop music show, "Countdown". It wasn't until high school, however, that Jason thought more seriously about becoming a musician. He enrolled in the school big band playing alto saxophone. One day while walking past the music room at lunch break Jason discovered some guys jamming with loud guitars and drums and he immediately wanted to be a part of it. 'I saw a bass guitar lying on the floor so I picked it up and it automatically felt natural to me, so from then on I was hooked'. Jason has been a professional musician since the age of 18 playing around the Australian pub circuit with various original and cover bands either as a bass player, guitarist or lead vocalist. Jason's voice can be heard on many television commercials and he has recorded with the likes of Chris Copping, Graeham Goble and Mick Pealing, to name a few. Jason has produced and recorded his first children's album, titled "Jason's Fun Time For Kids" and is currently writing songs for his first solo album. "I am very excited to be given this opportunity to play with Graeham, Beeb and Glenn and also the other unbelievably talented musicians that make up  Birtles Shorrock Goble."

He is honoured to be playing with musicians he so admires and respects, enjoying the freedom to be able to express his own creativity with the level of musicanship in this band. He has the challenging role of adding integral percussion parts to Little River Band songs that have stood the test of time as well as new material by  Birtles Shorrock Goble. Alejandro chooses to play LP percussion, Zildjian cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and Remo heads.
